Applications for the annual Grow-NY food and agriculture business competition are open to high-growth agrifood startups until May 15. Now in its seventh year, Grow-NY supports innovation and economic development in Central New York, Finger Lakes, and Southern Tier regions by providing funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The competition has attracted over 1,800 businesses from 44 states and 95 countries since its launch in 2019, awarding a total of $18 million to 42 winners. This year’s finalists will compete for a share of $3 million in funding, with the top prize being $1 million. The competition, funded by Empire State Development and administered by Cornell’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement, fosters partnerships and job creation to drive economic growth in upstate New York.
