The Design and Environmental Analysis (DEA) Pursuit event is hosted annually in the Spring semester by the College of Human Ecology (faculty and their student Teaching Assistant) in collaboration with Cornell Career Services. DEA Pursuit gives students within the College of Human Ecology a chance to connect directly with employers to learn more about their company and any available opportunities they have or may have in the future.  

This two-day event took place on March 13-14, 2025. Day one provided the thirty-six Human Ecology students an opportunity to gather in person to learn more about Pursuit employers’ companies and opportunities as employers tapped into the information session virtually. The participating DEA Pursuit 2025 employers, and many whom have recent Cornell alumni returning as company recruiters; 22 Interiors, CBT Architects, Entegra + Architectural Health, EY Design Studio, Gensler, MAOarch Architecture, Newmark, OTJ Architects, Perkins and Will.

On day two the same group of students partook in one-on-one meetings, with Pursuit recruiters, to conduct virtual interviews for their company’s internship or full-time opportunities. For the employers that didn’t have current opportunities available, students met with their company’s recruiter for a one-on-one virtual coffee chat to learn more about their company, future opportunities, and to establish a professional relationship.
