IDEAL is a free program for college students interested in becoming a lawyer.
The IDEAL Program is committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity and belonging by guiding participants towards successful admission to law school and preparing them for the demands of legal education. IDEAL exposes promising students to a rich and dynamic educational curriculum starting with opportunities to learn about the law school experience and the legal profession and culminates with LSAT prep and law school admissions support. Through comprehensive programming, we aim to bridge opportunity gaps, cultivate a passion for justice, and empower students to become influential leaders and advocates in their communities and beyond.
The program is structured as a two-summer initiative beginning with Summer I starting after sophomore year with an introduction to law school and the legal profession, and continues with a second summer following junior year comprising LSAT prep and law school admissions support. This format is designed to prepare the student for the law school admissions process beginning senior year.
The aim is to equip students with the tools, resources, and knowledge necessary to excel in law school and thrive within the legal profession.
