Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician to join our team. This position is part time with ability to increase to full time. This is a daytime position from 8:30 – 4:30. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their goals through applied behavior analysis techniques while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors accurately.
  • Assist in the development of behavioral interventions and strategies.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and goals.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in treatment approaches.
  • Provide support during therapy sessions, encouraging positive behaviors and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation as required by the organization.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred or completion of online course within 6 weeks.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management.
  • Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively.
  • Ability to educate clients, families, and team members on behavioral strategies.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
