Job Title: Design Director

Location: Miami, FL (On-Site)

At Alexis, we create timeless, sophisticated collections that blend modern elegance with forward-thinking design. We’re looking for a Design Director to lead and inspire our creative team, ensuring that our collections embody our brand ethos and captivate our ever-evolving audience. This is a pivotal role where your leadership will shape the future of our designs, guiding both the vision and execution of every collection.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Design Team: Direct, inspire, and manage a talented team of designers, guiding them through the creative process from concept to final product.

  • Creative Vision: Define and evolve the overarching design vision for the brand each season, ensuring cohesion across all collections and aligning with the company’s direction and market trends.

  • Collection Development: Oversee the design process, from initial sketches and mood boards to final garment production, ensuring designs meet both creative and commercial goals.

  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product Development and Marketing to ensure designs are executable and aligned with the brand’s commercial objectives.

  • Trend Analysis: Lead trend forecasting and market research, ensuring the brand stays ahead of trends while maintaining its signature aesthetic.

  • Mentorship: Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance design culture, providing guidance and professional development to junior designers.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 10+ years in a design leadership role, ideally in high-end, contemporary, or luxury womenswear.

  • Creative Vision: A sharp, forward-thinking eye for design that is both innovative and commercial.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple projects, and inspire creativity in others.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketching, and Draping. Knowledge of 3D design tools is a plus.

  • Strong Portfolio: A portfolio that reflects a deep understanding of both aesthetics and market demand.

Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts clearly to internal teams, partners, and manufacturers.
