At CGS, we understand the critical importance of cybersecurity and are looking for passionate individuals to join our team this summer as Cybersecurity Interns.
Position Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside our dedicated cybersecurity consultants and our clients. You will be involved in various projects that enhance our clients’ security posture and help you develop essential skills in the field. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with creation of organizational security policies, standards, and controls.
- Assist with the review of cyber applicable regulations for compliance requirements.
- Support creation of cybersecurity control requirements
- Assist with creation of cyber control libraries.
- Learn about operation & cyber risk management
- Assist with development of risk register.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, best for Juniors or Sophomores with advanced knowledge.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security tools (firewalls, antivirus, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
