PAID INTERN POSITION OPPORTUNITY

The mission of the Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC), an operating division of the Delaware Department of Transportation, is to design and provide the highest-quality public transportation services that satisfy the needs of customers and the community.
This large statewide agency is currently offering up to a full-year internship in the Employee Development Department.
Employee Development administers comprehensive employee training and development programs for New Hires, New Student Operators, and Supervisors that strive to meet DTC’s need for a trained workforce. The section is responsible for conducting and analyzing training needs assessments, developing and administering in-house courses, and locating and possibly hosting external conferences, seminars, and educational programs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Currently enrolled college Student
- Courses successfully completed in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
- Strong interest in employee development, training, and leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or training tools is a plus
TASKS
With guidance from experienced staff and managers, the DTC Intern will have the opportunity to:
- Assist with planning and coordinating training sessions, workshops, and development programs
- Support onboarding and new hire orientation initiatives
- Help create and update training materials, presentations, and resources
- Provide administrative support for Employee Development projects
