About HouseNovel
HouseNovel is building the first nationwide platform for discovering and sharing home history. Think Ancestry.com, but for houses. Users can search, share, and crowdsource stories, photos, and records about their home’s past. We also sell professional home history research and create engaging content inspired by the unique architecture and people behind America’s homes.
Time Commitment
Flexible schedule, ~7–10 hours/week (can be batched and scheduled in advance)
Pay: $300/month (flat rate)
What You’ll Do
Create and schedule 1 daily post (distributed across all platforms) using Canva, ChatGPT, Repurpose, or your tools of choice
Repurpose content across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube
Share short snippets of home history research as visual stories, reels, or carousels
Suggest new formats, hooks, or platform-specific tweaks to improve engagement
Track weekly metrics and provide proof of performance
Communicate with our team via Slack to stay aligned on priorities
What We Use Now
Slack for team communication
Canva for templates and automation
ChatGPT for post content, adjusted as needed
Instagram, TikTok, and Threads as primary platforms
Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook for extended reach
Content Style Inspiration
We’re aiming for short, high-engagement posts similar to Pubity — story-first, visual, and easily repurposed across platforms.
What You’ll Bring
A passion for social media and visual storytelling
Solid Canva, CapCut, or basic editing skills
Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail
Bonus: experience with scheduling tools, growth tactics, or short-form video creation
