The APM’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the work of designers, contractors, service vendors and landlords through the planning, design, construction and closeout of projects. The APM assists with the development of project scopes, schedules and budgets. Projects may range in size and scope including small renovations, infrastructure and ground up or large renovation projects.
Job responsibilities
· Supports clients on complex projects of varying size and scope.
· Proactively manages project-related risks/issues.
· Facilitates communication with project stakeholders, tracking and following up on action items to facilitate project delivery.
· Assists with weekly project meetings.
· Coordinates contractor RFPs and bid-leveling evaluations.
· Maintains accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
· Interacts with contractors, subcontractors and associated technical resources.
· Prepares/updates project status reports, updates tracking reports and maintains documentation for due diligence and financials.
Education and experience
· A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
· An interest in project or construction management.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
