Live Event Painting by Meira is hiring watercolor artists for live fashion-inspired portrait painting at weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Artists will create quick watercolor portraits of guests, focusing on clothing, pose, and likeness in a stylized fashion-sketch style.
This role is ideal for fashion design, illustration, animation, or fine art students who are confident drawing people quickly and enjoy working in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Create fast, stylized watercolor portraits of guests on the spot
Capture clothing details, silhouettes, and individual personality
Work cleanly and confidently under time pressure
Interact warmly with guests while maintaining focus
Assist with simple setup/breakdown (materials, paper, brushes)
Coordinate with the lead artist to maintain portrait flow
Skill Requirements:
Strong figure drawing + proportions
Experience with watercolor (not just gouache/acrylic)
Ability to sketch quickly (5–10 minutes per person)
Familiarity with fashion illustration or stylized portraiture
Good eye for color, gesture, and clothing details
Calm, confident, and able to perform under pressure
Preferred Experience:
Fashion sketching classes or portfolio pieces
Live drawing, croquis, or gesture drawing practice
Previous event or client-facing art experience (not required)
