What You’ll Do:
The Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated student to join our team as a Grants Intern. This position offers hands-on experience in grants management and monitoring processes within state government.
As a Grants Intern, you will work closely with OBM staff on projects that strengthen compliance and financial oversight. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with subrecipient monitoring to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Supporting the Single Audit Review Centralization Project, helping streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Analyzing complex financial data using tools such as Excel.
- Collaborating with team members on monitoring and grants-related tasks.
Interns may work up to 40 hours per week in our downtown Columbus office; we can work with your schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently near completion of an undergraduate degree or enrolled in a graduate program (e.g., Master of Public Administration).
- Preferred fields of study: Accounting or Public Administration (auditing coursework is helpful).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial accounting principles.
- Prior experience with monitoring grants is a plus.
