Internship Opportunities | Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
Gain valuable professional experience while supporting the mission of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. PCSO internships give undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, learn from experienced professionals, and gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a public safety environment.
About the Internship Program
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office offers internship opportunities for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. Internships are position-specific and may be available in a variety of areas within the agency, including law enforcement operations, detention services, administrative functions, and specialized support roles.
Interns work alongside experienced PCSO professionals and receive guidance and mentorship throughout their internship. Depending on the assignment, students may gain exposure to agency operations, participate in projects and community safety initiatives, and develop a deeper understanding of careers in public safety.
Internships are unpaid and are completed for college credit through the student’s accredited college or university. Schedules are coordinated between the student and the host division based on the requirements of the internship and the student’s academic program.
