About Thresh:

Thresh is a New York-based, female-led performing-arts nonprofit producing storytelling in all its forms. From creating cross-cultural productions that deal with issues of identity, race, gender and inclusion, to outreach programs for marginalized and underserved communities in the US and abroad, Thresh has been creating work for almost 20 years across the globe.

Thresh is proud to be a project-based organization, collaborating with multidisciplinary artists of different backgrounds and viewpoints. Working on various projects at once allows for the employment of individuals from many artistic disciplines—from composers to librettists, visual artists, and more.

JOB POSTING (INTERNSHIP): Marketing and Design

The marketing and design intern will be a valued part of a small team. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the total makeover of the brand’s website, including content, form, and assisting with basic UX/UI layouts. Other duties will include the design and creation of promotional graphics , facilitating press lines, creating marketing materials, email blasts, photo selection, and resizing artwork, . This role is a fun, pivotal role that encourages creativity and input from our interns, all the while affording a fast paced and generative learning environment. It requires organization, communication and design skills. By the end of the trainee experience, you will have developed design and project management skills that would make you an asset to any arts marketing department!

. Knowledge of UX/UI Layouts, Canva, Wix preferred. Extra points for Adobe Creative Suite programs, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Qualifications:

-Are a student or emerging creative in design, marketing, or related fields.

-Familiarity or ability to familiarize in UX/UI layouts.

-Ability to be autonomous and work on a small team.

-Have skills in Adobe Creative Suite / Canva, Wix, Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign.

-Are organized, collaborative, and excited about arts + social impact.

-Support digital campaigns that highlight cross-cultural and women-centered work.

This role is remote, with optional NYC-based opportunities. Can be for academic credit. We are excited to hear from you!
