Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, based in or around San Antonio, Texas, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience to bring dedicated knowledge and support to our El Tropicano hotel project. The Senior Project Manager will oversee construction activities, anticipated cost reporting and scheduling. The Senior Project Manager will liaise with outside consultants regarding design and will work closely with other members of the development team, including our development partners, project accountants and internal Trestle personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • On-site management of all construction related activities
  • Maintaining CO/RFI logs and ensuring timely responses
  • Review and recommendation of costs and schedules presented by the project team
  • Monitor and report project schedule and progress
  • Liaise with General Contractor, subcontractors, supplier, engineers, architect, municipal and county representatives
  • Ensure adherence with construction management policies and procedures
  • Administration of contracts, plans, and specifications
  • Quality control of goods and materials
  • Review contracts, contractor requisitions, change order and draw requests
  • Assist in plan review for cost estimating and constructability issues
  • Work with in-house development team to maintain effective communication and follow up with employees, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors
  • Coordinate permits and Owner required testing; Monitor Contractor and Subcontractor required testing
  • Attend site project meetings as the Owner’s Representative
  • Management of Punch List and Commissioning
  • Coordinate project close-out, warranty work, and transition to asset management and/or Operators
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience
  • Understanding of standard construction management procedures and ability to manage project team to ensure compliance with said policies
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain an attention to detail is paramount
  • The applicant must have strong technical and analytical skills, including a careful eye when reading and analyzing project-related documents and contracts
  • Ability to track project expenditures and manage project cash flows during construction
  • Must be a highly-motivated self-starter that pays attention to detail and is committed to meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Knowledge in CM/development accounting software such as Yardi preferred
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice, as dictated by business needs
  • Experience with ground up full service hotel development is preferred
  • Desire to hit the ground running and learn from a team of experienced hotel makers
