Job Title: Internship operation associate

Job Description
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Assist in product preparation, execution, and packaging in a mass production setting including hot and cold food preparation
- Order Fulfillment
- Inventory organization, tracking, and purchasing
- Event planning and assisting event operations including set up and break down at locations and events
- Assist in meal preparation and service for staff
- Assist with local food workshop sessions
- Cash handling and running Point of Sales System
- Customer service and interaction including selling, responding to customer’s needs and questions, and recovery of service
- Menu development
- Quality assessment, assurance, and control of products
- Assist with Scheduling
- Assist with Marketing and Communications for the brand
- Monitor and enforce safety and sanitation for both FOH (Front of the House) and BOH (Back of the House) including conducting safety and sanitation audits
- Assist with training employees on production and event upset, service, and break down.
- Assist Operations Director in daily tasks of maintenance and equipment repair
- Assist and organize staff meetings
- Assist in maintain sustainable practices and ensure a “Zero Waste Kitchen” environment
- Assist with social media and digital presence
Learning Outcomes
The intern will learn all aspects of the brand and the production from start to finish both for Front and Back of the House operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic knowledge of food production and cooking skills
- Willing to work in and support a diverse work environment
- Servsafe certification or equivalent certification (or obtaining a certification during the semester)
Optional Qualifications
- Experience in marketing and communications
- Familiar with mass production of food
- Familiar with manufacturing procedures in culinary industry
- Experience in with Individuals with dietary restrictions or needs
