After graduating from Cornell University with a BA in Government and a minor in Law and Society, my academic training has cultivated a strong dedication to human services through community building, policy analysis, and investigating the confluence of dialogue in conflict resolution. In my capacity as a certified mediator at a NYS Community Dispute Resolution Center, my commitment to actively participating in and advocating for restorative practices is fueled by my experience as a first-generation graduate who focused on the disparate effects of institutionalized systems on marginalized populations. With extensive legal and research experience on how the intersectionality of politics and public policies impact our democracy through government processes, such as immigration or criminal justice, I strive to elevate underrepresented experiences so that everyone may have a seat at my table. I am actively pursuing opportunities to further expand my professional expertise and education through fellowships or MA/JD programs.
