Research assistant at Airborne Disease Transmission Research Cluster, Kelowna, Canada Responsible for building and setting up test fixture with electrometer for surface characterization of C-polar material. Sorted data into well-organized formats and transformed into figures. Generated data models and performed analysis to draw inferences and produce reports outlining results. MOE IT Engineer Intern at Mercedes Benz Hong Kong Acquired knowledge Keil5 software, STM32 microcontroller basic architecture, SPI communication, IIC communication, and serial port basic principle, and communication timing. Studied and analyzed temperature and humidity sensor modules. Wrote driver code and built a real-time clock according to the technical requirement set by the instructor. Project experience: Brain Tumors Detection from MRI Scans Using Deep Learning Methods Evaluation of a Novel Mechanical Heart Valve Design Bio-instruments Lab: Use BITalino toolkit (along with compatible sensors and actuators) to collect electrical bio-signals of personal EMG, EEG, ECG signal for Muscular, Cardiovascular, and Nervous system studies. Clinical Engineering Surgery Observations: Observing following surgeries using Virtual Reality (VR), generate lab report with corresponding Anatomy, Operating Room Layout, Surgical Log, Technologies of Interest and Potential Improvements, and Operating room environment, ergonomic and human factors improvements Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) designs: Designed a retractable latch mechanism Created a mask layout using KLayout software and successfully tested the mechanism. Prepared a technical report and a video demonstrating the successful operation of the mechanism. Prototype of the Pulse Rate Sensor on A Soldered Breadboard: • Implemented a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor system for pulse rate measurement. • Designed a bandpass filter and gain stage, as well as a detection circuit for the PPG sensor. • Built a functional prototype of the pulse rate sensor on a soldered breadboard and demonstrated its operation. Bluetooth-Controlled Clock: • Developed code for a Bluetooth-controlled clock using CCStudio (code composer studio). • Debugged and analyzed the code using launchpad Texas instruments and demonstrated its successful operation.
