Ekta is a seasoned senior executive with 20+ years of experience in real estate development specializing in multifamily and mixed-use projects across the US. At SoLa Impact she leads the Real Estate Development group dedicated to charting a transformative course for high-quality affordable housing and workforce housing in historically marginalized communities of California. She has executed over $2.5 billion in RE transactions with over 7,000 units in Southern California. Prior to her tenure at SoLa Impact, Ekta led ground-up new construction and value-add investments with Prudential and AIG as capital partners at Alliance Residential. Before that, she worked in the New York and Chicago regions on mixed-use, mixed-income public-private partnerships. Ekta is passionate about creating social impact through real estate and has been recognized as a leading woman in Commercial Real Estate by Bisnow, Globe Street, and Los Angeles Business Journal. She is a US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional, a Housing Committee member of HomeAid Orange County, serves on Cornell Alumni Admissions Committee, was appointed to the City of Santa Ana General Plan Advisory Group, and is a member of the Bisnow DEI board. She is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
