Génesis Arlette Miranda Longo (formerly Miranda-Soto) is a vertical, product, and influencer marketer specializing in retail, e-commerce, and consumer goods. Born in Sinaloa, Mexico, Génesis was raised in a family deeply rooted in the food and grocery industries. This inspired her to pursue a degree in International Agriculture, Development, and Business at Cornell University, where she graduated with honors and secured a food marketing fellowship. With over a decade of experience, Génesis has received numerous accolades for her work, such as the City of Phoenix’s Most Outstanding Young Woman of the Year (2013), the National Winner of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Youth Award in Business (2014), and being listed among Austin’s Top 50 Women Leaders (2023). She has also proudly represented Mexico at global food and trade conferences in countries like Turkey (alongside the President of Mexico), Russia, France, Canada, and the Nordics. Today, she is the Head of Industry Marketing at Shopify. Additionally, she is a skilled content creator and consultant for various brands, including The Nudge (a city and restaurant guide app), Aerie (#AerieREAL), Express, Adrianna Papell, and pet-focused companies. Most recently, Génesis was the Director of Marketing for Retail, E-commerce, and Consumer Goods at Talkdesk. Committed to giving back, Génesis devotes her time outside of work to providing pro-bono marketing strategy consulting for minority- owned businesses, serving her church (Family Life Austin), and volunteering with organizations like Ascension Hospital. Passionate about promoting diversity in tech and higher education, she mentors students through L500, the Hispanic Scholars Fund (HSF), the Phoenix Union High School District, Cornell University, and Latinas in Tech. Her biggest passion is hosting international students and asylum seekers. Her heart is fullest when her home is full, in partnership with AMIGOS and Casa Marianella.
