I love understanding how things work, and then making them work. My family has gotten very tired of me spending more time fixing things than they perceive it to be worth, but they don’t always understand that it’s about the journey as much as the destination.

I also highly value doing things with my own hands as opposed to just going out and buying with somebody else has made. Whether it’s woodworking, building and flying my own airplane, or working on my house, I derive incredible joy and satisfaction from just making things.

I also love my family who include a wife and two sons, all of whom are engineers.

And I especially love my dogs (Bernese Mountain Dogs – 130# lap dogs).
