Civic Match by Work for America

Civic Match is a project by Work For America, a nonprofit who is trying to address the government staffing crisis in communities nationwide.

Civic Match was founded in 2024 to help connect former federal workers, contractors, and campaign staff with meaningful roles in state and local governments across the country.

Their job board is open for anyone to view and use regardless of prior government work experience. To get the most out of the program, create a profile, find positions of interest on the job board, apply for roles directly with the organizations. If you click “Mark ‘Interested’” on openings that are a good fit for you, the Civic Match team will advocate to hiring managers on your behalf.

Work for America also host “Civic Match Live” events where you can speak directly with multiple recruiters in a given geographic region or who are looking for a specific type of skill set.
