On September 22, 2026, Handshake launched a new tool: AI Skills Studio!

Employers are increasingly expecting candidates to show up with experience using AI in a professional setting. Students are often unsure where to start building those skills. AI Skills Studio is a free learning hub that helps you develop AI skills through missions where you build a real, working project. No technical experience is required.

Here’s what to expect:

• Get skills employers actually want. Missions are co-designed with companies like OpenAI, Salesforce, and Notion, so you build using the same tools they do.
• Learn fast. Missions take less than an hour.
• Build something real. Missions are guided, and end with a real, working project you can use to illustrate the skills you built.
• Stand out to recruiters. Your project lives on your Handshake profile and gets highlighted to employers hiring on Handshake.

There are tracks for core AI skills (e.g. hard conversations, interactive portfolio) and career tracks (e.g. entrepreneurship, marketing, sales). Here are just a few examples:

• Set up a Brand Voice Generator (co-designed with OpenAI)
• Set up a sales CRM (co-designed with Notion)
• Write outreach that gets replies (co-designed with Clay)
• Build your automated Chief of Staff (co-designed with Salesforce)
• Build an event plan in a box (co-designed with Replit)
• Build a decision calculator (co-designed with Google)
• Animate a custom icon set (co-designed with Figma)
