Events for Alumni

Connecting with Students and Fellow Alumni

Cornell Career Services sponsors a variety of programs that provide alumni, parents, and other professionals an opportunity to offer hands-on experience or an informational interview to current students interested in exploring different career fields. Alumni often tell us that participation in these programs is one of their most rewarding volunteer experiences.

CUeLINKS

As Cornell’s university-wide knowledge sharing platform, CUeLINKS (Learning, Informing, Networking=Knowledge Sharing) connects students with alumni to get the most out of the powerful Cornell community. Create a profile and start sharing your expertise and experience one-on-one with Cornell students. Volunteer your time based on your schedule and interests. Join the community and become a knowledge sharer.

  • Students connect with Alumni through a message platform or will request a meeting (virtual or in person)
  • Alumni can reach out to other alumni
  • You can explore the Discussion group and respond to student and alumni questions to share your experience and knowledge.

One way alumni can give back to Cornell is by encouraging their employers to hire other graduates for summer or full-time positions. The talent pool at Cornell is impressive, with graduates coming from around the globe and having studied one (or more) of over 200 majors/fields of study offered here. Employers tell us that they like to hire Cornellians because they’re analytical, articulate, culturally savvy, focused, hardworking, innovative, motivated, multidimensional, talented, and team-oriented!

By using our Cornell Handshake system, it is easy for employers to reach internship and entry-level candidates through on-campus interviews, online job postings, recruiting events such as career fairs, and referrals. Our Employer page is full of information about how to hire Cornellians, or you can contact us directly for help in developing a hiring strategy.
