Join us as we work to make great food more accessible.

About The Opportunity

The Growth Analytics team at Wonder serves as a strategic thought partner driving topline growth, customer acquisition, and customer lifetime value across our marketing and digital platforms. As a Growth Analytics Intern, you won’t just pull numbers—you will dive into customer behavior, evaluate performance, and turn data into actionable business stories and strategic recommendations for the Growth Team. Working closely with full-time analytics leaders, you will leverage modern analytics tools (SQL, DBT, BigQuery, Looker) to help solve real-world growth hypotheses and directly influence strategic decisions in a fast-paced food-tech environment.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Query BigQuery database environments using complex SQL, windows functions, CTEs, and different levels of aggregation to extract customer, order, and promotional performance data, moving from raw numbers to meaningful insights.
  • Partner with growth and marketing stakeholders to evaluate campaign lift, customer cohort trends, and promotional A/B testing performance.
  • Fully leverage Looker’s Gemini powered AI conversational analytics to draw insights from Looker explores and existing dashboards
  • Manage and enhance the Growth Analytics AI data chatbot, ensuring alignment with AI governance frameworks and single-source-of-truth metric definitions.
  • Translate complex data outputs into clear visual slides and executive summaries for quarterly cohort presentations and marketing strategy syncs.

Tangible Requirements and Essential Job Duties

  • Formulate hypotheses and analyze ad-hoc growth questions (e.g., customer churn drivers, brand preferences, promo incrementality) to support key business choices.
  • Validate data accuracy across marketing tracking channels and performance dashboards to ensure single-source-of-truth consistency.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, structured takeaways and slide presentations that communicate strategic opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.

Initial Focus and Key Deliverables (Post-Joining)

  • First 30 Days: Complete team onboarding, gain fluency in Wonder’s data stack (BigQuery, Looker, DBT), and build a solid understanding of core growth metrics.
  • First 60 Days: Take ownership of recurring marketing performance analyses and co-author strategic deep dives on customer engagement or promotional performance under mentor guidance.
  • First 90 Days: Own and execute an end-to-end strategic capstone project (i.e., investigating a high-value customer cohort or evaluating a growth campaign to re-engage customers) using artificial intelligence and present strategic recommendations to Growth leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as an active strategic contributor by bringing curiosity, fresh perspectives, and structured problem-solving to growth challenges.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, CRM, and Operations teams to answer strategic questions with data-backed insights.
  • Continuous learning: continuously refine your analytical toolset, business intuition, and data storytelling abilities.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field (Must Have).
  • 0–1 years (Currently enrolled student; prior internship, research, or relevant project/coursework experience is a plus).
  • Foundational SQL skills (SELECT statements, JOINs, GROUP BY, aggregations) and comfort working with relational databases.
  • Business acumen and strong strategic curiosity with a desire to answer the “why” behind customer behaviors and business trends.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) or advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills for data modeling and charts.
  • Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to summarize technical data into concise, strategic bullet points and slides.
  • Exposure to or strong interest in digital marketing, e-commerce, customer retention/cohort analysis, and promotional strategy.
  • Collaborative attitude, detail orientation, and proactive communication skills in a fast-moving startup environment.

As a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You’re welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

New York: $36.00 per hour.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate’s skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
