• Oversee the company’s internal development platforms, repositories and deployment controls across all software projects
• Ensure developers are working within the company’s approved GitHub domain, repositories and controlled environments, rather than on unmanaged personal systems
• Maintain strong GitHub governance, including access permissions, branch protections, approvals, audit visibility and repository standards
• Ensure secure coding, code review, CI CD and release management practices are followed consistently across the business
• Monitor for cyber security, software supply chain and infrastructure risks, and escalate concerns clearly to management
• Ensure proper controls are in place for secrets, credentials, environments, workflows and deployment pipelines
• Support the setup and maintenance of secure, reliable and scalable development, staging and production environments
• Oversee backups, storage, compute usage, recoverability and overall platform resilience
• Carry out capacity planning across infrastructure, environments and tooling so that growth, testing and production needs are properly supported
• Maintain technical documentation, operational standards and system health reporting for management visibility
• Work closely with developers, QA and management to ensure operational discipline, platform integrity and security compliance
• Raise issues early where development practices, infrastructure usage or security posture fall below company standard
Hard skills:
• Strong DevOps experience across GitHub, CI CD, infrastructure operations and environment management
• Strong understanding of GitHub governance, including permissions, audit logs, branch protection, approval controls and repository security
• Strong understanding of secure SDLC, DevSecOps and software supply chain risk management
• Experience implementing secure workflow practices for code, secrets, pipelines and deployment tooling
• Good knowledge of infrastructure reliability, backup strategy, storage, compute and recovery planning
• Ability to identify cyber, platform and operational risks and communicate them clearly to management
• Experience with monitoring, logging, controls and operational reporting across development environments
• Good understanding of least privilege access, change control and internal technical governance
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to enforce standards without disrupting delivery
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security or similar; GitHub, cloud, DevOps or security certifications preferred
