Student Staff

Cornell students are trusted members of the career services team. They all receive extensive and ongoing training and are a key part of our work!

Peer Career Coaches

Our Peer Career Coaches (PCCs) are thoroughly trained to provide convenient peer support. You can expect to get feedback about the format and content of your resume, cover letter, or LinkedIn profile. PCCs may also walk you through helpful online resources or refer you to a specific professional advisor for ongoing support. These services are best for undergrads or simple questions from master’s students.

To guarantee a time slot, or to get quick support virtually, go to our appointment booking page and select “same day” appointment. If you have a quick or urgent question, drop-in hours allow for you to physically stop by Barnes Hall and get support on any weekday afternoon without an appointment. You may have to wait about 15 minutes depending on the volume of guests that day. See website footer for drop-in hours.

Drop in and Same Day appointments are offered when classes are in session. Some Peer Career Coaches are also offering Resume, Cover Letter, and LinkedIn appointments.

Questions can be directed to supervisor Mia Ferraina at mf772@cornell.edu

Social Media Interns

Social Media Interns create content to help spread the word about career events, fairs, and resources. Look for their work on our instagram feed @cornellcareerservices or all around our office on signs, stickers, and t-shirts.

Questions can be directed to supervisor Jessamyn Perlus at jgp66@cornell.edu.

Employer Relations Student Associates

Employer Relations (ER) Student Associates serve as the first point of contact with our employer partners, students and staff visiting the Employer Relations and Professional Readiness Programs unit in the Central Career Services office. ER Student Associates also field questions from students regarding the Profile Picture Kiosk, The Wardrobe, Handshake and Campus Recruiting.

Questions can be directed to Kayleigh Bermudez at kb645@cornell.edu.

Fellowships Graduate Mentor

Our Fellowships Graduate Mentor is trained to provide support to students applying to highly competitive fellowships and scholarships. You can expect to receive feedback on the cohesiveness, content, storytelling, and flow of your application materials. The Graduate Mentor can also provide valuable proofreading assistance for grammar, typos and meeting the application guidelines. These services are best for undergrads or recent alumni looking for a trained perspective on your application draft.

To guarantee a 30-minute time slot, go to our appointment booking page and select a “Fellowships” appointment. These appointments are in-person.

Questions can be directed to supervisor, Krista Saleet at ks2334@cornell.edu

Fellowships Peer Ambassadors

Fellowships Peer Ambassadors help spread the word about nationally competitive fellowships by conducting outreach to student organizations, academic clubs and programs and affinity groups that have a mission consistent with fellowships criteria. If you would like to request a Peer Ambassador to come to a group meeting to give a brief introduction of fellowships and our services, email ccs-fellowships@cornell.edu.
