Epstein Nach Escobedo is a consulting firm specializing in business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support services. Our professionals assist attorneys, businesses, and courts with the analysis of complex financial issues arising in commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, marital dissolutions, fraud investigations, and other business litigation matters.
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Associate to support complex business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation-related engagements. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical and analytical skills who can independently perform detailed financial analyses, contribute to the preparation of high-quality work product, and assist senior professionals in developing well-supported conclusions for consulting and dispute-related matters.
The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in business valuation and financial analysis, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a professional services environment. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys rigorous financial analysis, investigative work, and preparing work product that may be used in expert reports, litigation support, and related consulting matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare business valuation analyses for privately held companies, holding companies, and other business interests.
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, general ledgers, and other accounting and financial records.
- Develop and maintain financial models used in valuation, forensic accounting, and economic damages engagements.
- Conduct industry, economic, and company-specific research using recognized valuation sources and databases.
- Assist in preparing expert reports, rebuttal reports, and supporting schedules for litigation and consulting matters.
- Perform forensic accounting analyses, including transaction tracing, financial reconstruction, and investigative review of financial records.
- Support financial analyses related to depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and well-supported written work product for review by senior professionals.
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a professional services environment.
- Contribute to the continued improvement of internal models, processes, and report quality.

Required Qualifications
- Four to Five (4-5) or more years of relevant experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation services, financial consulting, or a related field.
- Ability to read and understand financial statements and accounting records of commercial businesses.
- Experience preparing valuation analyses and related financial models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with research using common business valuation databases and reference sources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional credential such as ASA, CVA, CPA/ABV, CFF, or MAFF.
- Experience supporting expert reports or litigation-related financial analyses.
- Familiarity with valuation and financial research databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, BVR, FactSet, or similar.
- Experience in forensic accounting or investigative financial analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience. The firm offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and certain paid holidays. A stipend for continuing professional education and discipline-related conferences may be available at the Company’s discretion.
This is a full-time W-2 position with a primarily remote work arrangement, occasional hybrid opportunities, and access to shared office space at our downtown Chicago location.
