Position Summary
The Ballet Teacher will instruct ballet classes for children helping students develop proper technique, artistry, confidence, and performance skills. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of dance education.
Responsibilities
- Teach ballet classes for various ages and levels, from beginner through advanced.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that emphasize proper ballet technique, musicality, and artistry.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations, competitions, and recitals as needed.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academy staff.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety.
- Attend faculty meetings, rehearsals, and academy events as required.
Qualifications
- Strong background in classical ballet training.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Ability to teach multiple age groups and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and young dancers.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
